Garrett Murphy is well-known in the Bay Area poetry scene as a political and human nature satirist.  He lives in Oakland, CA, and has written several chapbooks of poetry and prose, among them the collections Now Showing, What We Claim… What We Are, the short story collection The Ugly Salon, the novel Yang But Yin: The Legend of Miss Dragonheel, and most recently, Scooting Along or How to Function as One of The Most Despised Persons on Earth.
