A Snowy Roof
Kenneth Pobo
Snow slides
off the roof across the street.
Many flakes died wishing
for winter’s freezing arms
to hold them so tight
that they’d live forever. Spring
hides outside of winter’s window,
carries a knife. Winter
can’t escape.
